Delta Phi Lambda’s National Philanthropy is Osteoporosis Awareness. Together, we strive to spread ways to prevent this disease through our fun campaigns and educational seminars. Our focus is to encourage girls to get active and eat more foods with calcium and vitamin D. Why is this important? Because getting lots of physical activity and snacking on foods with calcium and vitamin D are what’s best for your bones! Healthy bones are important to help you grow strong and stay strong forever! We work with American Bone Health to support individuals, families and communities with programs and tools to help build strong bones and prevent fractures. We strive to reach diverse populations and support culturally and linguistically competent models and programs. We also volunteer in Athens and its surrounding areas
